Distant View of Everything

Shortly after the birth of her second son, Isabel Dalhousie changes scene to a job making sandwiches at her niece's delicatessen, only to be drawn into a potentially dangerous instance of matchmaking involving suspicious plastic surgeon Tony MacUspaig. As the mystery around MacUspaig thickens, and as Isabel's husband develops an equally mysterious illness, Isabel is forced to address the difference between neurotic fantasy and urgent reality.
